A bridge that took close to 14 years to be completed, the Annai Indira Gandhi Bridge was India’s longest bridge for quite some time and was only replaced by the Mumbai Worli sea link recently. Designed in a unique bow shape to allow passages of ship from underneath it, the Bridge is a complete wonder to look at, glittering with pride with the azure sea stretching on under it endlessly. The bridge is about 2.5 km long and also offers brilliant views of the Railway Bridge and Rameshwaram Island.
